Your mission:
As a System Administrator, you will support the UNIX administrators’ team in its daily operations and projects. You will help the team to ensure that requirements set by the BCL and the ECB are met in regards of UNIX administration. Within the infrastructure section, you will install, configure and manage the UNIX servers.
Your responsibilities:
- You install, configure, and maintain Linux/UNIX servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability;
- You participate to the monitoring of system health, troubleshooting issues and to the implementation of measures to maintain system uptime;
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments, systems integrations, and UNIX/Linux infrastructure projects;
- You perform system updates, patches, and upgrades, ensuring compatibility and security;
- You participate in IT projects and conceptual work in relation with the UNIX/Linux infrastructure;
- You help to define, write and test the procedures for internal users (mainly operators);
- You support the operations, developers and DBA teams;
- You manage the centralized storage systems and backup infrastructure;
- You stay up-do-date with the latest industry and merging technologies in Linux/UNIX system administration.
Your profile:
- You hold a Master Degree or equivalent in IT technologies, preferably specialization in UNIX/Linux System technologies;
- You have the knowledge or willingness to acquire the following skills:
o Kubernetes (Docker, Openshift , …)
o Automation (puppet, ansible, git , …)
o RedHat and AIX, System Administration
o Monitoring (Icinga, Nagios)
o Backup and recovery services
o Scripting (Python, Perl, …)
o Virtualization (KVM, VMWare, PowerVM);
- You have experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms;
- You are proficient in all standard office applications (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- You are fluent in English and French; Luxembourgish and German would be a distinctive advantage;
- You are flexible to work outside core hours and during weekends;
- You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues;
- You are able to work independently as well as in teams.
