VDI Specialist (Brussels)

YOUR MISSIONS :
As a VDI Specialist, you will have a range of responsibilities, including:
- Managing the VDI infrastructure and its integration in the GSC landscape, ensuring 3rd line support and ticket handling, and collaborating with external parties for escalated incidents/problems
- Designing architecture and conducting technical evaluations of alternatives available on the market
- Handling the migration of new systems into the production environment, such as new Windows versions or software products, including defining procedures, training operators, and developing tools
- Evaluating the quality and efficiency of operations by defining and implementing metrics, periodically monitoring metrics, and proposing measures to improve operations' quality and efficiency
- Assessing training requirements, developing training courses, implementing training sessions, and evaluating training results
YOUR PROFILE:
To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Master's degree in IT and a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
- Fluency in English (knowledge of another European language is a plus)
- Excellent knowledge of ITIL best practices in ICT operations
- Recent practical experience with ICT operations in the VDI workstations domain, including setup, 3rd line support, implementation, SLA follow-up, improvement projects, and escalations.
- Knowledge of VMware Horizon View architecture and deployment
- Proficiency in creating PowerShell scripts to facilitate the management of the VDI environments
- Proficiency in creating and managing virtual machines, including different Windows operating systems
- Strong knowledge of tools for ICT management
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with virtual desktop connections and performance
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere and vCenter management
